- Job Description As a Robotics Field Engineer at Amazon RIVR, you will be the critical link between our advanced robotics technology and real-world deployment.
- Beyond troubleshooting, you will play a strategic role in our development cycle by providing real-world operational insights to our QA teams, ensuring our test cases reflect the unpredictable nature of the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on field failures to identify whether issues stem from hardware, software, or environmental factors.
- Execute debugging and perform quick technical fixes to maintain a target ratio of 1 engineer to 5 robots.
- Collaborate with QA Engineers to provide real-world input for the design of full-system test cases, ensuring field edge cases are captured.
- Lead the operational readiness and optimization of RIVR's deployed robots, ensuring seamless integration across diverse sites.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and Service & Support SOPs for Field Technicians.
- Proven ability to navigate complex codebases and robot logs to perform systematic diagnostics on sensors, connectivity, and control systems.
- Prior experience in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 support role within robotics or industrial automation.
Requirements

- A degree in Engineering (Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical), Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python for debugging and scripting.
- Experience with Amazon operations or similar last-mile delivery ecosystems.
