About the role

  • Performs all necessary assembly and test functions required to produce semi-standard or specialty turbomachinery, supercharges, and vertical and horizontal blowers.
  • - Receives instructions from supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Builds up piping and supports from blueprints and test forms.
  • Burns various material to construct and disassembly scaffolding and piping supports as necessary.
  • Maintains good housekeeping by keeping tools, material and equipment in proper place.

Requirements

  • Must be able and willing to work 1st (7am-3pm), 2nd (3pm-11pm) and 3rd (11pm-7am) shifts.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
  • Performs all necessary assembly and test functions required to produce semi-standard or specialty turbomachinery, supercharges, and vertical and horizontal blowers.
  • Operates unit to make adjustments and observations including instruments and auxiliaries as required.
  • Makes after test disassembly and inspections as required.
  • Operates all test equipment such as condensers, ejectors, pumps, portable generators, drivers etc., as required to serve units on test.
  • Operates lube oil and transfer pumps, valves, fittings, strainers, etc., as required to server units on test.
  • Cleans and services the associated filters, strainers as required.
  • Uses hoist, unlimited pendant and overhead crane(s) as required, occasionally performs crane hooking.
  • Heats parts or material for assembly, as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able and willing to work 1st (7am-3pm), 2nd (3pm-11pm) and 3rd (11pm-7am) shifts. Shifts are not guaranteed and are subject to shift realignment.
