About the role

Architectural Governance: Coordinate, review and approve projects and work efforts to ensure that they are compliant with big data architectural standards, policies, and guidelines.
Technology Leadership: Provide technical leadership and architectural direction.
Apply knowledge in the continued development and enhancement of advanced analytics plans.

Develop business, information and technical architectures that are aligned with data strategies & principles; develop optimized technology road maps to support strategic data; Responsible for development and maintenance of corporate analytics big data architecture and technology directions that integrate data and systems.
Manage technical governance of technology solutions, big data architecture principles, big data reference architecture and big data standards.
Effectively develop relationships and gain support from related stakeholders.
Create and promote architecture design patterns and facilitate solutions that leverage those patterns.
Responsible for providing design leadership in large or complex development of end to end big data projects involving application development, migrations and additions to existing applications.
Lead & drive efforts to develop, maintain and measure reference architecture, standards, design patterns and related technical documentation to ensure implementation of the strategic big data plan.
Communications and Relationship Building: Interact with senior management and effectively communicate highly technical information to numerous audiences. Effectively develop relationships and gain support from related stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, MIS or related field.
Eight years of big data experience with multiple programming languages and technologies.
Experience with large scale big data methods Experience with researching, experimenting, and utilizing leading.
Experience with architecture, implementation and testing data processing pipelines, data mining / data science algorithms on a variety of hosted settings.
Experience translating advanced business analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations across multiple, diverse domains
Fluency in several programming languages, with the ability to pick up new languages and technologies quickly
Demonstrated ability to work with team members and clients to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve problems.

familiarity with databricks, fivetran, data engineering and ETL processes
