About the role

  • The Middle School Teacher's primary responsibility is the development and academic success of students.
  • This position ensures students are well equipped and prepared to become productive citizens through cognitive learning and positive relationships with students and families.
  • Prepares materials for lessons, assignments, and tests; evaluates, corrects, and grades student performance;

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes data from assessments and benchmark testing to drive instruction;
  • Effectively manage student behavior and address disciplinary issues when necessary;
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and administrators;
  • Provide additional support or challenges for students as needed;
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with parents;

Requirements

  • Maintains required paperwork for individual student files, attendance and incident reports, and other necessary records;
  • Performs such other duties as may be required.
  • At least an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, and meet the requirements and expectations set in Act 99;
