About the role

  • This matrix structure ensures financial independence while enabling strategic alignment with SBU priorities.
  • Finance Manager is expected to contribute actively to cross-functional initiatives beyond financial oversight.
  • This position carries end-to-end accountability for business unit financial performance and requires strong informal leadership and cross‑functional influence.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Finance and functionally to the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leader, this role serves as the primary finance partner to the commercial team.
  • This role collaborates with the operations and supply chain teams to help support business growth.
  • The role owns all commercial Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for the business unit.
  • Collaborate with SBU leader to drive business growth, identify risks and opportunities, and set priorities.
  • Maintain a "no surprises" approach through proactive communication and issue identification.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives leveraging automation and AI where possible to increase efficiency.
  • Manage monthly reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting for the Sac Ag Joint Venture.
  • Strategic & Commercial Support
  • Partner with the SBU leader to design and track employee incentive programs.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related financial work experience required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing industry, chemical manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience supporting full P&L ownership and plant-level financial analysis.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills required
  • experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI), Salesforce, and AI agents preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for plant and business engagement.
  • Proactive, self-starter with strong commercial and operational business acumen.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can influence without authority.

Compensation

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the business unit.
