About the role

  • Including implementation and monitoring of campus-based special education programs and related services.
  • Employ special educational strategies and techniques during instruction to improve the development of sensory- and perceptual-motor skills, language, cognition, and memory.
  • Coordinate and monitor all instructional and related services provided to students with disabilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for critical cases and secure necessary resources to address student needs.
  • Use a communication system to keep administrators informed of support provided to campuses.
  • Performs any additional duties related to the ongoing effectiveness of the program as directed.

Requirements

  • Ability to convey and interpret information to students.

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year, accredited university.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of successful teaching experience is preferred.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of successful teaching experience is preferred.

  • Modify the general education curriculum for students with disabilities based upon a variety of instructional techniques and technologies.
