About the role
- The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) is looking to fill an existing vacancy for a Procurement Manager to lead the Procurement Team at OICR and support the organization's very diverse procurement and contract management needs.
Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing and updating policies, processes and procedures to ensure that procurement activities and contracts are aligned with corporate policies and business strategies.
- Developing/conducting analysis of management information to inform procurement strategies and thereby leverage OICR's total procured spend which is approximately $15 million annually.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or a related field, or recognized equivalent.
- Proven Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives RFx experience.
- Experience working with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system like JD Edwards.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and reviewing contracts.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management and supplier qualification.
- Experience with e-procurement initiatives and strategies.
- Working experience in and knowledge of the scientific and/or research fields.
- Working experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Compensation
- $93,000 to $104,500 per annum, commensurate with level of experience; total compensation includes a competitive benefits plan, plus a defined benefit pension plan (HOOPP)
- Developing/conducting analysis of management information to inform procurement strategies and thereby leverage OICR's total procured spend which is approximately $15 million annually.
- Reviewing new contracts and annually reviewing existing contracts, managing any quality assurance or tendering processes that arise from contract reviews or renewals.
