About the role

Reporting to the Manager of CovWorks-Shelter, the Career Preparation Facilitator is responsible for providing instruction to youth via in-person or virtual.
The facilitator will help youth meet necessary goals and prepare them for employment, postsecondary coursework, GED preparation, and/or vocational training.
(Responsibilities to include but are not limited to the following) Prepare lesson plans and course materials for face-to-face and online instruction that maximize student learning job readiness areas: mock interviewing, resume writing, etc.

Maintain a roster of 10 students for each class.
Collaborate with Supervisor and/or other departments to review, evaluate and, if necessary, revise program.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, pre and post-test hours and progress.
Implement best practices for the retention and recruitment of students.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and youth.
Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and the internet.
Must have a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and dependability.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Evaluate student progress regularly, with an emphasis on life and interview skills.
Professional oral and written communication skills English, including academic report writing.
