About the role
- Reporting to the Manager of CovWorks-Shelter, the Career Preparation Facilitator is responsible for providing instruction to youth via in-person or virtual.
- The facilitator will help youth meet necessary goals and prepare them for employment, postsecondary coursework, GED preparation, and/or vocational training.
- (Responsibilities to include but are not limited to the following) Prepare lesson plans and course materials for face-to-face and online instruction that maximize student learning job readiness areas: mock interviewing, resume writing, etc.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a roster of 10 students for each class.
- Collaborate with Supervisor and/or other departments to review, evaluate and, if necessary, revise program.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, pre and post-test hours and progress.
- Implement best practices for the retention and recruitment of students.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and youth.
- Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and the internet.
- Must have a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and dependability.
- Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Bi-lingual [English/Spanish] a plus.
Skills
- Evaluate student progress regularly, with an emphasis on life and interview skills.
- Professional oral and written communication skills English, including academic report writing.
Compensation
- $16k-$24k
