  • Working in a highly regulated environment, this caregiver compounds sterile and hazardous medications in accordance with USP <797> and USP <800> standards while maintaining the highest levels of quality, accuracy, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training.
  • High School Diploma or GED Licensed in Florida as a Registered Pharmacy Technician Ability to communicate with other caregivers and patients in an effective and positive manner Demonstration of emotional control and intelligence in managing work relationships Ability to perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds Basic computer skills

  • The Pharmacy Technician - Oncology supports sterile compounding operations within a specialized inpatient infusion pharmacy, preparing medications that are essential to the care of patients across multiple service lines.

Requirements

  • CPhT through the PTCB is required within 18 months of hire
