About the role

  • This is a part-time position, scheduled to work 20 hours per week.
  • Candidates must reside in the state of California.
  • The Clinical Coordinator, School of Education is the liaison for the University and school districts for placing credential candidates in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • In coordination with the University Clinical Supervisor and the district supervisor, counsel and develop action plans for candidates who are experiencing difficulty in fieldwork.
  • Notify the Assistant Director of Clinical Practice as to the additional support being provided, and the response to it.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in appropriate field or equivalent
  • K-12 administration experience 3+ years, preferably as a department head, principal, program director, or superintendent
  • Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices and Software: Ability to use a personal computer, Microsoft Office software, printers, and typical office equipment.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • 5+ plus years teaching experience at the K-12 level
  • Experience working with credential candidates in a university setting
  • Current California teaching credential required
  • Current administrative services credential desired.

Skills

  • Knowledge of CTC Common Standards and Program Standards, as they apply to clinical fieldwork, is required.
  • Working knowledge of the Cal TPAs and Cal APAs is also required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain databases
  • Ability to effectively work within a collaborative environment
  • Ability to use a personal computer, Microsoft Office software, printers, and typical office equipment.
