  • Role Summary: The Registered Practical Nurse will work autonomously to carry out the clinical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain standards of clinical practice as per the professional body of the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Responsible for comprehensive nursing assessment of women and their partners/families.
  • Coordinate care for women and their partners receiving treatment with the team and other facilities.
  • Providing emotional support and counselling to women, their partners, and families.
  • Providing emotional support and grief counselling to women and families who are not successful in achieving pregnancy.

Requirements

  • Years of Experience:

Nice to have

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Life Sciences preferred.
  • Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.

Skills

  • Previous work experience in a women's healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Having excellent computer skills and being comfortable with working with an EMR.
  • Demonstrated good attendance and work performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Committed to patient-centred care.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Integrity, accountability, and highly organized.
  • Analytical skills to resolve problems and think creatively.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and plan work, multitask, and meet schedules.
  • Adaptable and flexible; able to think quickly in stressful situations.
