Responsibilities
- Manage all stages of the grant lifecycle: proposal development, budget creation, contract implementation, award set-up, invoicing, payment applications, reporting, and close-out.
- Lead kick-off meetings for awarded grants to align stakeholders and set expectations.
- Coordinates legal review of documents and obtains authorized signatures as needed.
- Prepare appropriate documents when grants or contracts are transferred to another University.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Grants Administration Department.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of direct experience in grant development and/or compliance experience working with federal, state and/or local agencies.
- Knowledge and experience in working with grant and contract procedures
Nice to have
- Knowledge of OMB Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG) compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of federal agency policies (e.g. NSF, NIH, NASA).
- Knowledge of Workday ERP system.
- Pre- and post-award grant experience
- Certifications such as Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA), Certified Pre-Award Administrator (CPRA)
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Skills
- Demonstrated computer competency and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with grants at various levels, including federal, state, and local/private agencies/organizations.
- Effective grant proposal and/or budget development experience, with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The Manager will complete tasks tied to the pre-award and post-award phases.
Compensation
- TARGET HIRING SALARY: $60,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience.
