About the role

  • SWAP commerce is a leading innovator in e-commerce, dedicated to revolutionising online retail experiences.
  • As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • You will report directly to the Head of DevOps and work closely with development and operations teams to automate processes, improve system performance, and ensure the security and stability of our applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimise application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices across our infrastructure and applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
  • Strong experience with GCP.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Javascript).
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD tool GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools Prometheus, new relic
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and security principles.
  • The only AI-native platform connecting backend operations with a forward-thinking storefront experience.
  • Our products span cross-border, tax, returns, demand planning, and our next-generation agentic storefront, giving merchants full transparency and the ability to act with confidence.
  • Solid understanding of containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tool Terraform. Bonus for being able to build customer providers from scratch.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Certifications in relevant cloud platforms
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of database administration (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimisation.
