About the role

  • This role will work with claims adjusters, clients and Team Leaders/Director, Legal.
  • Counsel will provide proactive insight and legal guidance by identifying opportunities for technical excellence.
  • During the recruitment process, we will discuss and consider how your unique qualifications align with the broader range for this position.

Responsibilities

  • ​Drive timely and efficient outcomes.
  • ​Develop and deliver targeted training to the organization.
  • ​​Foster positive working relationship with support staff.
  • ​Appropriately direct support staff regarding tasks for file management.​

Requirements

  • ​​Carry a case load of 50+ files of a complexity commensurate with years of experience.
  • Undergraduate degree, J.D. or LL.B. and called to the bar in Ontario.
  • Legal research skills and proficiency with digital legal research resources.

Compensation

  • This range reflects the expected base salary for this role but may not represent the full compensation range for all experience and skill levels.
