About the role
- This role will work with claims adjusters, clients and Team Leaders/Director, Legal.
- Counsel will provide proactive insight and legal guidance by identifying opportunities for technical excellence.
- During the recruitment process, we will discuss and consider how your unique qualifications align with the broader range for this position.
Responsibilities
- Drive timely and efficient outcomes.
- Develop and deliver targeted training to the organization.
- Foster positive working relationship with support staff.
- Appropriately direct support staff regarding tasks for file management.
Requirements
- Carry a case load of 50+ files of a complexity commensurate with years of experience.
- Undergraduate degree, J.D. or LL.B. and called to the bar in Ontario.
- Legal research skills and proficiency with digital legal research resources.
Compensation
- This range reflects the expected base salary for this role but may not represent the full compensation range for all experience and skill levels.
