About the role
- Electrical Technician Location: Playa Vista, California (in-person, five days per week) Outpost is pioneering Earth return logistics for space.
- Our spacecraft is already backed by the U.S. government with multiple missions ahead.
- This is a hands-on role on the machine shop floor, working from schematics and work instructions to fabricate, install, and inspect flight hardware.
Responsibilities
- Support avionics integration, including connector mating, continuity checks, and cable routing
- Follow detailed work instructions and schematics to build flight hardware
- Support test campaigns, including instrumentation setup
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Document work performed and flag discrepancies to engineering

Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly, wiring harness fabrication, or systems integration
- Proficiency reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
- Experience with crimping, soldering, and cable/harness fabrication
- Familiarity with basic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes)
- Ability to work on your feet in a factory/lab environment
- Experience with aerospace or automotive wiring harnesses
- Experience with clean rooms or ESD-sensitive procedures
- Experience with aerospace/DOD standards and material selection
- You must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 or J-STD certification
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree or technical certification in electronics or electrical fields preferred

Compensation
- $30-$45 hourly salary (non-exempt, overtime eligible), based on experience
