About the role
- Responsible for assisting cardiologist/electrophysiologist during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Provides for the comfort and well-being of the patient while in the HMC Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Becomes proficient in the operation of all cardiovascular related equipment and in the performance of any related duties of cardiovascular procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs duties involving patient care and operation of highly sophisticated radiographic and computer equipment in the interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Will perform in other areas of Cardiology/Electrophysiology including Holter/Event monitoring hook-up/retrieval, IABP, Fluoroscopy, Pacemakers, Imaging, and hemodynamic
Requirements
- Rad Tech must have one (1) year interventional
- Current AHA/ARC BLS required.
- AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification required or
- required or obtained within 9 months of employment.
- Call rotation required with immediate response and 30-minute arrival time from notification.
Skills
- Knowledge and experience in EKG interpretation, invasive lines, and sterile techniques.
