About the role
- The Production Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring automated production and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable output.
- This is a hands-on role requiring technical aptitude, mechanical awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple production areas in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform equipment startup, shutdown, changeovers, and operational adjustments
- Maintain production standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and throughput
- Perform routine equipment inspections and operational checks
- Perform first-level troubleshooting and corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Support preventive maintenance activities and equipment reliability initiatives
- Perform minor machine adjustments and operational corrections to maintain production flow
- Enter and maintain production, downtime, and quality information in company systems
- Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives
- Support electronic production reporting and data entry within manufacturing systems
- Maintain accurate production and operational records
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 57 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, and reach regularly
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to learn automated equipment and manufacturing systems
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate production software and machine interfaces
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and cross-train across multiple production areas
Nice to have
- 1+ year of manufacturing, production, or equipment operation experience preferred
- Experience with HMI-controlled or automated equipment preferred
- Experience with ERP, inventory management, or production management systems preferred
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts preferred
- Knowledge of cGMP, food safety, sanitation, and quality standards preferred
- Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment or participating in continuous improvement initiatives preferred
