About the role

  • In this role, you will report to one of the Systems Engineering Managers.
  • At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot new RF generator designs
  • Test and troubleshoot new PCBAs to validate performance
  • Build test setups for specialized experiments
  • As an Engineering Technician 4 at MKS Instruments you will partner with Systems and Design Engineering to test and troubleshoot the next generation of RF Plasma generators.

Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for 75% of the time
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information

Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Use of LTSpice or other circuit simulation tools
  • PCBA soldering / rework
  • Physical Demands and
  • Requires an Associate degree or equivalent technician experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of related experience
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other electrical / RF instruments
  • Experience using schematics to troubleshoot PCBA problems

Compensation

  • $30.48 - 50.80/hr is range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
