About the role
- We're looking for a Forward-Deployed Engineer to work directly at the intersection of customers, software, and physical robotic systems.
- This role is about closing the last 10%: taking cutting-edge robotics software and making it work reliably in real-world environments.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end real-world implementations, from initial system setup and validation through stable, long-term operation.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous customer requirements into well-defined technical solutions and execution plans.
Nice to have
- Demonstrated experience deploying and operating physical hardware systems in real-world environments.
- Professional background at forward-deployed or deployment-intensive organizations (e.g., Palantir, Anduril, or similar).
- Prior exposure to robotics, embedded systems, automation, or related physical systems domains.
- At Dimensional, accessibility is a fundamental human right.
- Deploy, configure, and adapt the Dimensional robotics platform in real-world customer environments.
- Contribute production-quality, maintainable code to the core platform codebase, informed by deployment learnings.
- Prior experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or other customer-facing technical roles.
