Responsibilities

  • Design and execute innovative research strategies to identify causal regulators of cell state, aging, regeneration, and disease biology.
  • Develop and apply robust experimental workflows connecting genetic perturbation to molecular and phenotypic readouts across cellular and animal models.
  • Support genomic and molecular profiling methods, including transcriptome, proteome and single-cell readouts, to uncover novel biological mechanisms.
  • Translate in vitro discoveries into in vivo systems through the design and execution of hands-on mouse studies in relevant disease models.
  • Collaborate closely with computational scientists and cross-functional teams to integrate multidimensional datasets and generate actionable biological insight.
  • Lead project strategy, experimental design, execution, troubleshooting, and data interpretation.
  • Ability to independently lead complex research projects from concept to execution.

  • This role is ideal for a creative experimental scientist with deep expertise in in vivo and ex vivo disease biology who is excited to characterize and validate novel interventions for improving cell resilience and rejuvenating tissue functions.
  • The successful candidate will help develop and apply animal disease models for characterizing novel interventions, with opportunities to contribute across areas such as target discovery and validation, in vivo screening, and tissue-level functional assessment.

Requirements

  • Expertise in physiologically relevant mouse models for chronic diseases.
  • Hands-on experience with in vivo delivery modalities such as AAV, LNP, or related delivery systems.
  • Experience or interest in studying novel biological mechanisms and emerging areas of biology.
  • Strong track record of scientific accomplishment through publications, patents, or impactful platform development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
  • Hands-on in vivo experience with disease mouse models.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive biological insight from multidimensional datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environments.

Nice to have

  • Background in aging biology, regeneration, fibrosis, inflammation, metabolic disease, neurodegeneration, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Direct experience with in vivo lung, kidney, or liver disease models.
  • Hands-on experience generating and maintaining ex vivo precision-cut tissue slices.
  • Experience with tissue-level genomics assays and analyses
