About the role
- Cal-Ore Telephone Co. is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Fiber/Telecom Installer.
- Location & Coverage Area: This position reports to the Yreka, CA office and requires regular travel within the regional service area, including Weed, Mt.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain copper and fiber service drops, ONTs, routers, DSL equipment, and radio equipment.
- Configure and support customer premise equipment, including multi-line key systems and PBX systems.
- Perform wiring and rewiring of new subscriber systems.
Requirements
- This role involves both inside and outside plant installations and requires a strong working knowledge of telecommunications systems and infrastructure.
Nice to have
- Experience in fiber and copper splicing.
- Working knowledge of RUS (Rural Utilities Service) standards and practices.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
- Background in telecommunications construction is a strong plus.
- Candidates should be dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a variety of outdoor and indoor environments.
