Responsibilities
- The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and retaining volunteers to support all aspects of MCACC's operations.
- This role involves assigning volunteers to appropriate work areas, ensuring they understand the organizational structure, and providing them with the tools, training, and support needed for success.

Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive
- Ability to lift 30lbs, bend, and walk
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Marketing, or a closely related field
Compensation
- $55,000 - $90,000 annually
- Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.
- This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

- One year of work experience in coordinating volunteer or community programs, or other related program development experience

- Other Requirements
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license and have an acceptable driving record by the time of hire
- We Also Value
- Experience in animal sheltering
- Familiarity with Volgistics, Trello, Chameleon, and similar tracking and reporting software
- Job Contributions
- Assists in the advancement and refinement of the volunteer program for Animal Care & Control
- Mentors, coaches, and disciplines volunteers if necessary
- Develops and administers a volunteer recognition program
- Communicates with volunteers via phone, e-mail, newsletter, etc.
- Recommends revisions to volunteer policies, processes, and expectations
