About the role
- This position is responsible for collections, deductions, and cash posting pertaining to the Retail and International channels.
- This role is based in our New York City office and reports directly to the Manager of Accounts Receivable.
- As a response to the pandemic, Roland Foods office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to telework on Monday and Friday each week.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the team overseeing collections, cash posting, and deductions processing/disputes, by checking in regularly, reviewing team progress, and developing effective KPIs
- Partner with the Trade Finance Manager to ensure customer programs are accurate and customer deductions are appropriately matched or disputed
- Lead external audits, including preparation of schedules and gathering of support
- Identify and resolve process/system inefficiencies and drive process improvements
- implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline operations
- Hire, manage, motivate, and formally evaluate the performance of all direct reports

Skills
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, including Accounts Receivable
- Proficiency with Microsoft D365
- Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience performing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations
- Experience managing a small team
- Experience in Tableau
- Process improvement mindset leveraging information systems
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, with outstanding attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Compensation
- One of the ways Roland Foods does that is through a competitive compensation package.
- The base salary for this role will be $85,000 - $95,000.
- Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
