About the role
- The Associate works closely with Account Management, Customer Service, Production, and Quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- This is a hybrid position based at our Devens, MA facility.
Responsibilities
- Avantor is looking for an Associate Design Engineer to join our Devens, MA team!
- In addition to design, testing, and validation activities, this role owns product costing, cost analysis, and cost optimization initiatives to support profitability and operational efficiency.
Nice to have
- SolidWorks experience is highly preferred
- Organizational and communication skills
- Technical concepts and their application to customer's processes
- Select appropriate subcomponents and ensuring all connections are engineered to function as required (e.g. temperature, pressure).
- Entering/maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM) and Method of Manufacturing (MOM) in ERP system.
- Research new and innovative products in the market to advance component library and conduct testing on commercial viability.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints in a timely manner
- notify management of problems and suggest corrective actions.
