About the role
- Preference may be given for experience as an Family Nurse Practitioner or closely related field and/or experience teaching nursing at the graduate level.
- Duties/Expectations: This professional track faculty position will consist of approximately 70% teaching, 15% citizenship, and 15% scholarship.
- This position will be expected to mentor in graduate student projects.
Requirements
- All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
- All faculty are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
- Failure to attach the required documents may result in your application not being considered.
Nice to have
- MS in Nursing required.
- DNP may be preferred even without a MS in Nursing.
- Upon hire, a Utah license as an APRN and board certification as an FNP are required.
- The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Compensation
- Teach eight courses annually, including graduate-level didactic, clinical, and/or lab skills courses.
