Responsibilities
- Review and maintain work orders, inspection forms, and quality records to ensure complete traceability and regulatory compliance.
- Perform surveillance inspections of aircraft and maintenance activities to monitor workmanship, tooling, processes, and compliance.
- Perform internal quality system audits and customer-requested audits.
- Assist the Chief Inspector in analyzing quality trends and developing methods, procedures, and systems to improve Quality Assurance processes.
- Investigate quality discrepancies and support corrective and preventive action initiatives.
- Travel to customer maintenance facilities and project sites throughout the United States to perform inspections, audits, aircraft acceptance activities, and quality oversight.
- Perform special assignments and projects as directed.
- To have the freedom to develop innovative solutions and the resources to make them happen.
- The Quality Assurance Technician inspects aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and components to determine airworthiness and supports continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality and operational performance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
- Experience with aerospace quality systems that meet FAA regulatory requirements.
- Ability to obtain airport security badges and customer-required access credentials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic maintenance record systems.
- Carry out aircraft inspections while verifying and controlling required documentation in accordance with inspection processes.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of aircraft maintenance experience as an FAA-certificated A&P Mechanic.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and FAA regulations.
- Ability to travel by commercial airline, including overnight and extended assignments.
- Ability to work in aircraft hangars, maintenance facilities, and office environments.

- Experience
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or Quality Assurance Technician in a Part 145 Repair Station or commercial aviation environment.
- Experience using and interpreting precision measuring instruments.
- Additional Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% (or as business needs require) throughout the United States.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Nice to have
- Associate degree in Aviation or related field preferred.
