About the role
- Pharmacists rotate through the dispensation roles; as well as, contributing to direct patient care on the units alongside the healthcare team.
- Schedule: As Needed with hours typically 8a-7p, one weekend per month and occasional evenings
- Dispense medications according to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Complete other duties as needed or assigned by supervisor, such as serving as the lead pharmacist for designated unit(s) and corresponding committee meetings
- Obtain accurate medication histories and perform medication reconciliation on admission and discharge.
- Complete biannual CE requirements to maintain state licensure.
Requirements
- PGY1 residency or equivalent experience (3-5 years of inpatient, clinical pharmacy practice)
- Maintain internal competencies as required by the pharmacy department and organization.
