  • This role is responsible for supporting and optimizing facility systems such as power, water, compressed air, lighting, gas, HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and related utilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary plant contact for technical support and consultation related to facility infrastructure and building support systems.
  • Support Plant Operations across multiple shifts to ensure continuity, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Plan and implement process and infrastructure improvements that enhance safety, increase manufacturing capacity, and reduce scrap.
  • Lead equipment upgrades, replacements, and facility improvement projects in support of operational objectives.
  • Support infrastructure design, technical specifications, and integration planning for new or modified systems.
  • Partner with the PSO, contractors, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) to ensure technical specifications are complete and aligned with plant and equipment strategies.
  • Provide technical support, problem-solving, and direction to assigned production departments.
  • Plan and support preventive maintenance activities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Identify chronic or recurring equipment and infrastructure issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead and support Level 2 troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Broad knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical controls systems.
  • Experience managing or supporting flammable and/or hazardous chemical processes, including knowledge of:
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or direct coordination experience with Production Operations and Operators.
  • Proven analytical and technical skills, including application of Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Experience managing skilled trades or working directly with skilled trades teams.
  • Ability to translate long-term plans into effective daily execution.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and experience with software/programming and PLCs.
