About the role
- Onsite Technical Coordinator DISHER is currently partnering with a recognized leader in providing North American businesses with engineering solutions, sourcing and supply chain development, and Asian market entry and start-up services.
- In this role, you will serve as the day-to-day technical link between the customer's engineering and manufacturing teams and the engineering team in India.
Responsibilities
- You will coordinate by gathering requirements, supporting design and manufacturing activities, managing technical communication, and helping to resolve issues so engineering deliverables are accurate, practical, and production-ready.
- Translate requirements, design changes, production feedback, and open issues into clear assignments for the engineering team in India.
- Coordinate design reviews, technical clarifications, drawing updates, bills of material, approvals, and engineering change activities.
- Review drawings, models, schematics, layouts, and technical documents for completeness, manufacturability, and alignment with customer standards.
- Support troubleshooting during fabrication, assembly, testing, commissioning, and field-service issue resolution.
- Maintain project schedules, action lists, issue logs, deliverable trackers, and regular status updates across U.S. and India teams.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently at the customer site and coordinate meetings across U.S. and India time zones.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and preferably teams in India.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of commercial or industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, heat exchangers, pumps, piping, valves, and controls.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, refrigeration piping diagrams, P&IDs, electrical schematics, panel layouts, equipment layouts, specifications, and bills of material.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or SolidWorks Electrical is preferred.
- Understanding of refrigeration and HVAC fundamentals, heat transfer, fluid flow, system component selection, and basic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CO₂, ammonia, halocarbon, chilled-water, rack, distributed, or chiller systems is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, project-tracking tools, and ERP/document-control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, industrial, mechatronics, or a related engineering field
- equivalent engineering-technology experience may be considered.
