About the role

  • The Director, Business Intelligence is a strategic leader responsible for driving global alignment, standardizing commercial performance tracking, and decommissioning redundant regional reporting in favor of scalable central tools.
  • Reporting directly to the Senior Director, BI, this role will act as a vital liaison central functions and regional teams across EMEA, the US, and APAC.
  • A core component of this position involves leading the relationship with the Global Priority Artist team.

Responsibilities

  • The team will deliver enterprise-grade operational insights, anticipate macroeconomic trends, and encourage a unified, data-first culture.
  • Help to define, own, and implement the long-term Business Intelligence roadmap, aligning all data initiatives with the company's commercial goals and revenue targets.
  • Own the Artist goals and achievements in partnership with the group passionate about global priorities.
  • Partner with marketing functions on bespoke projects and case studies, e.g. Christmas Analysis.
  • Co-own and facilitate the Recorded Music Analyst Network to ensure cross-territory best practices and the reduplication of analytical efforts.
  • Drive global alignment by harmonizing commercial results monitoring and proactively phasing out overlapping regional reports to promote adaptable central solutions.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Strategy, with a consistent track record of driving commercial growth through data.
  • Enterprise-level visualization expertise, with extensive experience supervising Tableau (or similar platforms) deployments at scale.
  • Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional VPs, C-suite executives, and regional managing directors.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

Nice to have

  • Prior leadership experience preferred, with experience managing and mentoring junior team members.

Compensation

  • $130,000 to $140,000 AnnuallySalary ranges are included for job postings where required by law.
  • The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs.
  • The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
