- This role reports to the Clinic Administrator with clinical oversight from the Associate Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
- Ability to safely administer injections and perform clinical nursing procedures.
- Unofficial transcripts and copies of other relevant documents may be attached to the application for consideration in advance.
- Perform patient history and intake, focused assessments, patient/chart preparation for RN/Provider assessment, and care coordination.
- Provide support for RN and provider-led appointments such as for HIV prevention/treatment and gender affirming care.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted LVN license in the state of Texas required.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained before hire date.
- Experience with LGBTQIA+ and/or other marginalized communities a strong plus.
- Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities Must have basic PC skills that include a combination of working in a Windows Operating System and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Compensation
- Based on the position's duties and requirements, this role has a starting hourly rate of $26.75.
- The initial salary will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
Benefits
- Perform all patient care tasks while maintaining accurate, timely, and complete documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Conduct patient education including STI/HIV prevention, treatment, safer sex practices, partner notification, medication adherence, self-administration of medication, and follow-up recommendations.
- Assist with laboratory result review and required public health reporting processes under the supervision of licensed providers in compliance with applicable state/federal laws and organizational policy.
