Responsibilities
- Serve as a regional technical leader for wastewater treatment, process design, and resource recovery projects.
- Lead and support planning, evaluation, design, and implementation of wastewater treatment facility upgrades and expansions.
- Support project teams through process modeling, alternatives evaluations, basis of design reports, technical memoranda, design reviews, and QA/QC.
- Partner with project managers to ensure technical excellence, schedule adherence, budget performance, and client satisfaction.
- Support business development activities including client engagement, capture planning, proposal development, interviews, and technical presentations.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, supporting technical growth across the Water practice.
- Collaborate with local, regional, and national technical leaders to share best practices and strengthen STV's overall wastewater capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer license required.
- Experience with nutrient removal, biological treatment, solids handling, biosolids, and/or resource recovery.
- Experience supporting municipal client relationships, business development, proposals, and project pursuits.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to clients, leadership, and project teams.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Experience serving as Engineer of Record, technical advisor, or subject matter expert on major wastewater treatment projects.
- Existing client relationships within the regional municipal water/wastewater market.
- Experience with alternative delivery, design-build, or progressive design-build projects.
- Active involvement in professional organizations such as WEF, AWWA, WEFTEC, or state/local water associations.
- Compensation Range:
- $132,979.00 - $151,112.00
