About the role
- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
- Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
- Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Responsibilities
- This Mechanical Engineer role merges HVAC design, system commissioning, and Building Management System (BMS) controls.
- You will deliver comprehensive engineering packages-from calculating initial cooling/heating loads to programming sequences of operation and validating final system performance.
- Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
- Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
- Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
Requirements
- Safety shoes are required for this position.
- Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
- Accredited Bachelors Degree.
