About the role
- This leadership role is responsible for ensuring we acquire materials and services at the best balance of cost, quality, availability, and risk while supporting company growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risk.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that support company growth, operational excellence, and profitability.
- Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team through coaching, accountability, and professional development.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships while negotiating contracts, pricing, payment terms, and service agreements.
- Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Inventory, Finance, and Sales to ensure material availability and resolve procurement challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through reporting, scorecards, performance metrics, and process optimization.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier evaluations, and business reviews to ensure long-term supplier success.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and support overall business objectives.
- Door Controls USA is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead our strategic sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing functions.
- As a member of our leadership team, you'll lead, develop, and hold the Procurement Team accountable for achieving departmental goals while driving continuous improvement throughout the procurement process.
- We're looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems proactively, builds strong supplier relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive procurement or sourcing leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong analytical, financial, and business acumen with experience using ERP systems and procurement software.
