About the role
- The Network Architect serves as the strategic leader responsible for designing, planning, and guiding the evolution of Bernalillo County's enterprise network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

- Define and maintain the county's enterprise network architecture roadmap.
- Lead the design of complex, multi-site, hybrid (cloud/on-premises) network solutions.
- Ensure scalability, resilience, and security in all network designs.
- Drive modernization initiatives such as cloud integration.
- Partner with Information Security teams to embed security into network design.
- Document architecture decisions and maintain enterprise-level diagrams and standards.
- Ten (10) years of progressive experience in network engineering, design, or architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
- Complete required supervisor training, if applicable.
- Occasional evenings, holidays, and/or weekend work may be required.

Compensation
- $92,456.00 - $143,333.00
