  • How You Will Make an Impact: The Engine Builder is responsible for engine rebuilding including teardown, cleaning, inspection measuring and sub-assembly, quality control and final fitting.

Responsibilities

  • Document engine build/parts problems and recommended countermeasures.
  • Maintain engine carts and dollies and document tool / consumable inventory.
  • Perform various tedious tasks, hone valve guides, grind, and polish valve faces, etc.
  • You are hands-on, practical, and understand how designs translate to the field.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2 to 5 years of engine experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with rebuilding engines and components.
  • Ability to take precise and consistent measurements using a variety of measuring devices.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to work legally in the US.
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to walk job sites, climb stairs and ladders as needed, stand for extended periods, and perform field inspections and measurements.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and work in or around active construction, fabrication, or operating environments while complying with all applicable safety requirements.

Nice to have

  • Technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
