Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment.
- Perform fluid/drug administration as needed.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department

- As a Paramedic in the Emergency Department, you will provide immediate medical treatment to patients presenting with various critical injuries, illnesses and concerns.
- Administer appropriate emergency medical care, including life support procedures, decontamination protocols, obtaining EKG readings and vital statistics monitoring.
- Communicate with medical personnel at hospital, report/record observations and follow directives until report and hand-off at hospital if on the Transport Team.
- Current Florida licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP)
