About the role
- Improves welding management Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Assists in reducing and eliminating waste from operation
- Monitors and reduces usage of welding consumables through process improvement
Responsibilities
- The incumbent is responsible for managing and storing site welding records and documents per applicable quality procedures.
- Optimizes welding processes and welding joint design to improve overall efficiency
- Reviews and improves the design of product for manufacturability

Requirements
- Five years of experience in a leadership role
- The ability to obtain Welding Supervisor accreditation from the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB)
- The incumbent is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone in personal conversations or meetings.
- The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the shop.
- The employee is frequently required to move about the shop and site.
- Employees are required to wear all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for the position.
Skills
- Bachelors with 6+ years relevant experience or associate's degree with 8+ years relevant experience or 10+ years of relevant experience
- Previous training experience
- The ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
- The ability to speak and instruct large and small groups, in multiple settings, such as a classroom or shop floor
- Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)

- Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,250 per year
