About the role
- Lakewood Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients.
- Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
- Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Requirements
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.

Compensation
- Salary: $20-$35/hr. based on experience and skill set. $1,500 sign on bonus
