About the role

  • The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and contractors involved in utility-scale energy projects.
  • This role will involve the development, implementation, and oversight of safety protocols, policies, and procedures across various project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; partner with project teams to ensure safety is embedded from planning through execution.
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions; maintain accurate records and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
  • Drive a strong safety culture through continuous improvement, performance tracking, and collaboration with leadership and field teams.
  • Identify hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies, including development and enforcement of emergency response plans.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in managing safety for large, complex projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Projects, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of professional experience in safety management, with a focus on energy, construction, or industrial projects (utility-scale energy projects preferred).
  • Solar, BESS, or wind power project experience (Preferred).
