Responsibilities
- Support maintenance of comprehensive quality system.
- Lead and/or participate in activities associated with root cause investigation for product and process defects.
- Assist in tool design as needed for process inspections.
- Perform standard quality engineering tasks with include but not limited to non-conforming material disposition, non-conforming cost/trend analysis, corrective/preventive action, customer/internal MRB, process improvements (includes scrap reduction), automation of systems, inspection criteria, specification and contract review, and communication to and training of personnel.
- While operating in the boundaries of Lean Principles, lead, guide, and direct lean implementation and training initiatives, including 6S, TPM, Kaizen, Flow Manufacturing, JIT, Kanban, and Rapid Improvement Workshops.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or Statistics, or related degree is required.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, supplier management, internal audits, and overall troubleshooting or problem-solving capabilities.
- Good math and analytical skills including a working knowledge of statistical techniques (SPC, SQC, DOE).
- Ability to read drawings, interpret written procedures and instruction and ability to understand geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T).
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in production or quality or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership and able to work effectively with engineering, production personnel, and management.
- Root cause investigation experience. Knowledge and/or use of six sigma methods and continuous improvement techniques preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of using 3D Modeling Software, CATIA is preferred.
