Responsibilities
- Act as the expert advisor for our product management, development, engineering, support, and marketing teams, providing strategic guidance on commercial terms, privacy issues, global regulatory compliance, privacy-by-design, data protection, and the responsible use of AI.
- Influence the design and deployment of products by advising on legal, ethical, and regulatory issues in emerging technologies.
- Design and conduct comprehensive legal analysis and monitor evolving regulations (such as cybersecurity and AI) to translate complex requirements into actionable, solution-oriented advice.
- Own Legal's role in developing commercial strategy for new products
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical and legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for a range of business partners.
Requirements
- J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar.
- Please note that background checks are required.
Nice to have
- 8-12 years of experience at a national law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on product counseling and technology transactions.
- Experience advising on AI applications, cloud services, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is a plus.
