About the role
- What Your Day Will Look Like: As a Junior Engineer on the Structural Assessment team at Consor, you will have a mix of field and office opportunities.
- Your field work will encompass inspection of all types of bridges, overhead signs, dams, and tunnels.
- Travel to these structures could be locally or even across the United States on an infrequent basis.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work constructively in a team environment, grow to supervise other's work, communicate and maintain professional working relationships.
- In the field, you will be collecting measurements, using various methods to document structural conditions, take photographs, and complete other documentation, while recording the information on a tablet.
- Office-based work includes development of inspection reports, Structural Analysis, load ratings, and repair/retrofit design.

Nice to have
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural or related Engineering discipline (ABET-accredited preferred).
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification is a plus.
- Any NHI bridge inspection coursework is a plus.
- Any bridge inspection experience is a plus.
- Must be open to trave out-of-state or on short notice for emergency work.
- Assist with preparation of scopes of work, fee proposals, and technical responses for proposal requests.
- Must be physically able to perform bridge inspection task in the field, including different types of access and conditions.
- part-time and contingent positions are only eligible based on hours worked.
