About the role
- This role will sit within our Project Engineering organization which is responsible for the deployment, commissioning, and operations of Form Energy's customer projects.
- This is a critical role to ensure the successful execution and deployment of Form's multi-day battery product and its integration with customer systems.
- The ideal candidate should be comfortable communicating frequently with internal and external stakeholders and shall be capable of working both collaboratively and independently.
Responsibilities
- Create conceptual project layouts and single line diagrams and support interconnection and permitting applications, long lead equipment specifications and procurement, and design and construction RFP creation
- Lead the development and own the balance of plant design package, including site civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, and network architecture designs, ensuring compliance with project and product requirements and other applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards
- Provide technical support during project execution, including reviewing RFIs, submittals, field quality checks, site safety planning, and supporting commissioning
- Support Project Manager from initial planning to commercial operation, especially with document control, budget oversight, quality control, schedule, contract management and value engineering for budget and schedule optimization
- Work closely with Form's Product Engineering and Product Management teams to document product requirements and technical specifications
- Demonstrated track record of executing utility-scale energy storage and/or renewable energy projects from development to operation, including feasibility studies, project planning, preliminary design, detailed design and engineering, permitting, and interconnection
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in renewable energy project engineering or deployment and a bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering
