About the role

Carpenter Technology Corporation is a leading producer and distributor of premium specialty alloys, including titanium alloys, nickel and cobalt based superalloys, stainless steels, alloy steels and tool steels.
Our Tanner, AL location is an integrated mill manufacturing high-quality premium and ultra-premium forged bar and billet products from melt to ship.

Implement improvements to the production process flow.
Support value stream mapping and kaizen events.
Lead Problem Solving to root cause and recommend or implement corrective actions.
Provides manufacturing or other data to assist in the creation of control charts, identify process capabilities, areas to focus or to create KPI's or targets to measure progress.
Aid with development and documentation of KPI's and systems designed to sustain and drive continuous improvement using Carpenters Operating Model.
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Proven ability to drive continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating waste using applicable tools and analysis.
Should have team building and rapid execution abilities.
Self-Starter who can creatively drive continuous improvement on their own initiative with guidance as necessary.
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
