  • Job Duties: Define and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and technical specifications for private equity fund accounting SaaS platform.
  • Utilize private capital operations and financial services software to inform product strategy, system design, and feature development.
  • Translate complex business requirements into detailed product specifications that specify data models, system architecture constraints, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Author and maintain technical specifications for calculation logic, error handling patterns, and versioning strategies.
  • Evaluate and make architectural trade-off decisions involving database schema design, data pipeline architecture, and query performance optimization in SQL data stores that underpin core financial calculation engines.
  • Collaborate with a team of software engineers on sprint planning, backlog refinement, and code review discussions to ensure strategic prioritization and accurate implementation of complex backend accounting and financial calculation logic.
  • Participate in technical design reviews and architecture discussions with engineering leadership to ensure product decisions account for system scalability, fault tolerance, data consistency, and the long-term maintainability of the codebase.
