About the role
- RXR is an active investor in real estate credit, rental housing, commercial property, and property technology through value-added and opportunistic investment strategies.
- SUMMARY: The Engineering Development Manager plays an integral role in the overall success of RXR's engineering department.
- Under the leadership of the VP - Head of Engineering, this role will provide robust engineering oversight for all development and construction programs for the RXR portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering analytics as they relate to development and construction projects: energy analysis, capital/operational cost impacts, logistical impacts. Effectively communicate analytic results to inform decision-making.
- Engage and manage 3 rd party consultants throughout processes.
- Ensure compliance with building and commissioning requirements.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with the Property Teams.
- Manage multi-year capital infrastructure and expenditure plans for assigned assets.
- Manage collection and archiving of all critical documentation.
- Ensure that team members are properly providing all development and construction documentation (drawings, schematics, equipment operations manuals, warranty documents, etc.).
- Review design and construction documentation throughout the development/construction process and provide feedback/comments accordingly.
- Manage engineering projects throughout the portfolio and firm, from scope inception through closeout and project turnover.
- Perform additional job duties as requested.
Requirements
- Minimum two-year technical degree in engineering or related field.
- Technical proficiency in operations of Building Management Systems and Life Safety Systems
- Proficiency with Procore or related construction management platforms
- Proficiency with CAD/BIM oriented platforms
- Must be able to work under intense deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation
- $150,000 - $190,000 USD
- The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
