About the role

  • Summary: The Staff Solutions Architect is Temporal's primary customer-facing technical leader within the Growth team, with a focus on the Central region.
  • Your contribution is vital in positioning Temporal against alternative technologies, helping customer engineering teams expand production applications using Temporal, and owning the technical relationship with key decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with prospects to determine if their applications fit Temporal's platform well.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers at customer organizations to ensure they fully leverage Temporal's capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide insightful advice on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with commonly used application development and production services.
  • Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal's supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C# or PHP.

  • Reside within the Central Time Zone with Chicago, Dallas, or Austin preferred.
  • Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $250,000 - $300,000.
  • This is the total compensation, including the base salary and variable role, with a 70/30 split.
