Responsibilities

  • The Pharmacy Account Director is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with external clients while serving as the primary pharmacy leader for an assigned book of business.
  • Provide ongoing consultative support to regional decision makers and partner with the PBM field sales team during renewal and RFP processes to deliver pharmacy solutions that meet client needs.
  • Assist operations and clinical pharmacy partners in developing key therapeutic programs and pharmacy strategies based on clinical outcomes and earnings potential.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years of related experience

  • Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience managing a complex pharmacy book of business and serving as the primary strategic advisor for clients with 5,000+ covered lives preferred.
  • Proven success leading pharmacy renewal strategy, negotiating complex client solutions, supporting RFP activities, and delivering consultative presentations to executive-level client stakeholders preferred.
  • Even within the range, the actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations.

Skills

  • A Pharmacy License or experience in the specialty pharmacy, PBM, or managed care pharmacy industry is strongly preferred.
