Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to BU PCT Engineers and Technicians;
  • Develops strategies and innovative solutions to address Power Distribution reliability, cost or operational issues.
  • Provide scope input and implementation support for improvement projects that result in reduced cost, increased reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Provide power distribution engineering support across the BUs in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop strong SEL relay experience for self and the Baytown site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related degree with at least 4 years of experience OR a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related degree with at least 2 years of experience
  • Degree must be from an ABET or equivalent accredited engineering program;
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Demonstrated interest or experience with the specification, selection, design,
  • Demonstrated expertise in power systems engineering, short circuit studies, and arc-flash calculations, relay coordination and selectivity studies in an operating industrial environment;

Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency with software tools such as SKM Power Tools and PowerDB;
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in technical subjects;
